Ontario Society of Artists 147th Annual Open Juried Exhibition
“Welcome to the 147th Annual OSA Open Juried Exhibition! Every year I look at the work that has been juried in to get a sense of where artists and jurors are finding common ground. This year, more than in previous years, there is a focus on portrait and humanity: the faces we love and the spaces in which we exist.
This focus was not planned and yet, in this unsettled time of the pandemic and shifting geopolitical winds, the works here hit a raw note and satisfy. Collectively they are both a response and a promise. They answer our fears with the reassurance of the familiar; pit isolation against relationships and point to important spaces and the comfort they provide …”
Clare Ross, OSA President
