My beautiful OPHELIA IN WATER is now exhibiting in the Headwaters Arts Gallery for the Fall Festival Juried Show!

The International Women’s Day Show invites artists to participate in an annual art exhibition inspired by International Women’s Day (March 8). Celebrating its 27th year of expression and exhibition held at the OMAH, Orillia Museum of Art & History.

SOVA to exhibit at the beautiful Gibson Centre for Community, Arts & Culture, located in Alliston, ON. The Gibson Centre is a historical venue built in 1889 by the Mercer Manufacturing Company and the months of April and May 2024 will house the artworks of SOVA with their diverse collection, As The Artists View It.

Michelle’s semi-abstract narratives will be hanging during the performance of the romantic comedy “By The Light Of The Story.” Although not affiliated with the comedy, its title appears to be a perfect backdrop for these paintings!

The Colour and Form Society, established in 1952, is one of the longest standing arts societies in Ontario and continues to present exhibitions that showcase excellence in the visual arts.
With its foundations in diversity and creative freedom, the CFS promotes independent expression in art.

This Juried Exhibition will be ongoing at two locations: the Pazan Gallery, and Studio M Gallery. My painting will be exhibited at the Pazan Gallery. Open Tuesday to Saturday 11am-4pm

The Fire & ICE Festival is open this weekend January 28th & 29th at Alton Mill Arts Centre! So many activities such as outdoor pond hockey, ice skating, “super snow slide,” ice carving and at night, a fire sculpture by local artist Paul Morin. Artists’ studios will be open to visit with many artists offering demos and/or special activities. This year, more than in previous years, there is a focus on portrait and humanity: the faces we love and the spaces in which we exist.

This focus was not planned and yet, in this unsettled time of the pandemic and shifting geopolitical winds, the works here hit a raw note and satisfy. Collectively they are both a response and a promise. They answer our fears with the reassurance of the familiar; pit isolation against relationships and point to important spaces and the comfort they provide …”

This year’s jurors were Olga Korper (Director, Olga Korper Gallery; Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Dealers’ Association of Canada); Miklos Legrady (Visual Artist & Writer; Toronto Editor of Chicago’s New Art Examiner; and Carrie Shibinsky (CEO for ArtBombDaily; Corporate Curator for Air Canada).
